"Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.”
- Thomas Paine
Our Founding Fathers...
Without the founding fathers, America would be in shambles, and possibly nonexistent. The founding fathers created our country as we know it, and gave us the Constitution. The founding fathers first created the Articles of the Confederation, an early form of American government with weak central power and strong state power. American people didn't like it, so Shay's Rebellion formed. Finally, the Founding Fathers went to a Constitutional Convention to discus a new form of government for the United States: The Constitution.

Roles of the Federalists and AntifederalistsAlthough only the Federalists supported the ratification of the constitution, Anti-federalists also had a large role in shaping the constitution. The Federalists were the people who approved it right away, because they couldn't stand the Articles of the Confederation any longer. We also wouldn't have a Bill of Rights without the Anti-federalists. Although both had different thought and views of the Constitution, both affected how it is today.
